Don Fabio of the Hill aka Sisyphus of Medellin.

Don Fabio of the Hill presents a portrait of an elderly man grappling with immense daily challenges. His arduous work on a steep trail transcends mere physical labour, becoming a symbol of a quiet struggle for dignity and survival. The film starkly contrasts the world of tourists who relish recreation with the protagonist whose climbing is essential for his very survival.  Rain and storm, eroding his hard-earned fruits, serve as potent metaphor for life’s obstacles and uncertainties. Ultimately, the film explores the power of renewal, loneliness and the profound sense of purpose found in seemingly simple acts.
